VNS CHOICE Medicare covers services obtained from our comprehensive network of providers—doctors and other medical professionals, hospitals and other health care facilities, and pharmacies in all five boroughs.

When you join a new health plan, a big concern may be: Will I still be able to see my current doctors?

At VNS CHOICE Medicare, we understand that our members often have long-standing relationships with their primary care physicians and with specialists, and we understand that switching to new providers who don’t know your medical history can be stressful.

As a VNS CHOICE member, you will receive a printed copy of our complete Provider Directory (you can also search our directory online). You must receive all routine care from plan providers. Our comprehensive network includes nearly 6,000 providers in all five boroughs of New York City, including:  

• More than 5,000 physicians (including primary care doctors and other specialists),
• More than 40 hospitals, nursing homes, health centers and other facilities.

In addition, our Pharmacy Directory includes more than 61,000 pharmacies, from independent neighborhood stores to national chains. Our network includes pharmacies throughout all 50 states, so you can fill prescriptions while you’re on the road. No matter where you live, you'll always be able to find a provider close to home. What if your provider is not part of our network?

You may be able to continue to use your current provider until you complete your course of treatment. Call us to find out our policies for transitioning members to new providers. Your doctors also have the option to join our network. Ask your Care Manager for help, or call Member Services at:

VNS CHOICE MLTC Plus (HMO) combines your Medicaid and Medicare benefits. As a member of this plan, you’ll receive services from any of the VNS CHOICE Medicare providers and pharmacies. In addition, we have built a network of community-based agencies that provide long term supportive services. You will receive an additional directory that lists these providers.
